Truecaller rolls out the Live Caller ID feature for iPhone users, here is how to access it
Now, whenever an iPhone user receives an incoming call from an unknown number, they will be able to activate Truecaller with their voice by simply saying “Hey Siri Search Truecaller.”
Truecaller has launched a new Live Caller ID feature for iPhone users, which will make it easier for them to search for details of the caller. The platform has basically integrated Apple’s virtual assistant into the system to let you quickly find details. However, there is a catch. The feature is not available to everyone. Here is everything you need to know about the latest update and how to access it.
Now, whenever an iPhone user receives an incoming call from an unknown number, they will be able to activate Truecaller with their voice by simply saying “Hey Siri, Search Truecaller.” The app will then quickly capture the number, find out more information about the caller, and present it on top of the calling screen. However, this new feature is only exclusively available to premium subscribers of Truecaller on devices with iOS 16 and newer. This basically means you will have to buy the Premium subscription to the app to access the new feature.
It leverages Siri Shortcuts and App Intents to deliver results. “This update provides a new level of convenience to those using Truecaller on iPhone, as they no longer have to search for numbers or copy-paste into the widget manually. Importantly, Live Caller ID with Siri searches the entire Truecaller database, thereby providing the same quality of information as Truecaller on Android,” the company said.
How to setup Truecaller Live Caller ID on iPhone:
-You first need to go to the app’s Premium tab and click ‘Add to Siri.’
Note: This helps you add the shortcut with one tap. The first time you use this feature, you will be asked to allow access for Truecaller; choose ‘Always allow’ to avoid being prompted again.
-Once you set up the Siri shortcut, you simply need to say ‘Hey Siri, search Truecaller’ and Truecaller will instantly tell you who is calling.

The latest update also adds the ability to view and add comments on the numbers that are marked spam. It lets you view user feedback on a spammer that others might provide. It allows users to report their own experience on unknown calls. One will also witness a revamped SMS filtering feature. With this, the incoming SMS messages will be automatically categorized into Finance, Orders, Reminders, Coupons, Offers, and Junk. The feature is live for iOS 16 and newer versions in India, South Africa, and Nigeria. The platform has confirmed that it will soon roll out the features to some other countries as well.
